First Responders / Trauma Exposed Professionals
BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) offers short-term counselling coverage for its employees. If you're employed by BCEHS, please contact the Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Program to obtain approval before booking an appointment. If you need assistance, Iām here to help.
Eligibility for funding:
Be an employee of British Columbia Emergency Health Services (BCEHS).
Request and be approved for counselling through BCEHS's CIS (Critical Incident Stress) program.
Your CIS coordinator is responsible for connecting you with a counsellor from the approved BCEHS provider list. Unfortunately, this cannot be arranged directly between clients and clinicians, so please speak directly with your CIS coordinator about accessing counselling services.
Virtual Therapy is also covered for residents across BC. Though you are welcome to book in-person sessions.
